How to share your location on WhatsApp

The instant social messaging app WhatsApp has almost 600 million monthly active users, who use this app for various purposes. How to share your location on WhatsApp

For android phone – firstly, open WhatsApp and select the chat or contact of your choice. Then click on the paperclip icon located on the upper right hand corner of your WhatsApp screen. Now select Location. Then wait for the app to detect your current location on the map. Once your position has been located, click on either Send my current location, or choose any nearby points of interest. You can also click on the magnifying glass on the top of your screen to find a specific location to send to your contact like a store or a restaurant.

For iPhone – iPhone users can turn on their location settings by going to their Settings app then click on Privacy and next on Location Services. Under Allow Location Access, select the While using the app option. Then click on the arrow icon located to the left of the chat field. Now you can select the Share my location option from the option list. Now you will see a map on your screen with a list of close by points of interest. Click on any of the options to send the location and address. You can also select the option which says Send Your Location and it will send your contact the map.
